Hello!

I’m a Texas-based photographer and filmmaker specializing in story-driven images. I worked for nearly a decade as a photojournalist for TV stations around the country and won three Emmy awards in that time. I’ve pointed a camera at three sitting presidents, national sensations, natural disasters, and more ribbon-cuttings than I can count.

Over the years, I’ve developed a knack for putting regular people at ease in front of a camera. I bring a mastery of lighting, audio, and camera work to create a cinematic result that makes the story shine. But more importantly, I work with the person I’m interviewing to bring their story out naturally and authentically, in their own words.

Email me and let’s talk about your visual storytelling needs!

Fast Fun Facts

My favorite novel is Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke. As a kid, I fell in love with reading because of the Redwall books by Brian Jacques. I read a lot of Dean Koontz, Silvia Moreno-Garcia, and Brandon Sanderson. I also love a good Agatha Christie book.

My favorite TV shows include Babylon 5, Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated, Psych, The X-Files. The Lost Room mini-series was amazing and I can’t recommend it enough. Movies? Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The Princess Bride, and the 1997 Cinderella featuring Whitney Houston.

I started taking pictures on my dad’s 35mm film camera when I was kid—I still remember waiting at Walmart for an hour while my film was developed.

I was born and lived in Illinois most my life, then moved to Texas, Colorado, then back to Texas. Sometimes I still miss the snow, but nothing beats breakfast tacos in San Antonio.

Hobbies? Board games. Nothing replenishes my energy like a good game night with friends. A favorite is Betrayal at House on the Hill. I sometimes play guitar when no one’s around.

If I were famous, it’d be for banana bread. I’m far from the world’s best baker, but my banana bread has always been a hit.
